ALBANY, GA -- The winners of the early Wednesday morning the Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission 2012 EDC Industry Awards were announced.
Four Industry awards were given out by the EDC. The Global Commerce award was given to the SASCO Chemical Group. Phoebe Putney Health System won for Economic Impact. Excellence in Innovation went to Central Monitoring Company. Good Life City Award for Corporate Community Citizenship, Gerdau Long Steel North America for the volunteer work employees do in the community.
Albany City Mayor, Dorothy Hubbard, and Dougherty County Commission Chairman, Jeff Sinyard, issued a joint proclamation to show the importance of the 2012 Industry Week.
Today’s awards were just one way the EDC honored the accomplishments of industries in the Albany Dougherty Community.
