ALBANY, GA. --
Business professionals and public figures made a stop at Albany State University Monday night to have an open discussion with students.

The National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation brought to Albany State the Legacy Lecture series.

The panel was comprised of Albany Mayor Dorothy Hubbard, Judge Glenda Hatchett and Emmanuel Lewis.

Moderators allowed the meeting to flow with topics that students thought were important.

“I want them to leave with a sense of hope from this and a sense of being empowered,” says Judge Glenda Hatchett.

Also in attendance were Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards and the Dougherty County School Board Superintendent Dr. Joshua Murfree.
