ALBANY, GA -- The Center of Refuge Church held an outreach block party to bring the community closer together.

Speakers, performers and the Albany Police Department were there to share a message of the need for positive change.

The church believes they can take back the city from crime by educating people but it needs to be a group effort.

There was also a food and clothing give away for those in need.
