The Georgia Supreme Court decided that a man convicted of murder in Tift County deserves a hearing.

The hearing will determine whether or not certain evidence was properly admitted at Calvin Moore’s trial.  Moore was convicted in 2006 for strangling and beating 63-year-old Lucius Harris Junior to death.

The reason this case went to the Georgia Supreme Court is because Moore's representation says his constitutional right to be present during the in-chambers conference was violated since he wasn't present.  If they rule evidence was not properly admitted Moore could get a new trial.
