ALBANY, GA. --
Tuesday night local officials were honored for their works of service.

The Radium Springs Neighborhood Association awarded Dougherty County Commission Chair Jeff Sinyard along with several others for their efforts to keep the community safe.

Albany Public Works, Keep Albany-Dougherty Beautiful and the Albany Fire Department were also among those given plaques for their service.

Commissioner John Hayes also used the meeting as a means to hold his quarterly listening session.

“We go there and do what the name implies and we listen to the cares and concerns of our constituents. We go back and find some kind of resolution,” says Dougherty County Commissioner John Hayes.

After the awards ceremony, everyone in attendance celebrated with a little dessert.
