Gas prices stable after six weeks of rising

According to AAA, gas prices are beginning to stabilize after consecutively increasing for 39 days

ALBANY, GA --
Gas prices are stable for the first time in nearly six weeks, according to AAA.

The current average price for gas in Georgia is $3.68 per gallon; last week is was $3.70 per gallon. Nationwide the average price to fill up your tank is $3.79 per gallon; it was $3.76 per gallon last week.

Prices increased for 39 consecutive days before stabilizing last week.

According to AAA, poor demand numbers are starting to weigh-in with the market after the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) cut its global oil demand outlook.
