Moultrie police reports show a Warwick police officer allegedly stole more than $600 worth of merchandise from a Belk Department store
WARWICK, GA -- A Warwick police officer is arrested after Moultrie police say she stole just over $600 worth of merchandise from Belk on Saturday.
The police report says a loss prevention officer noticed Charlette Anne Jennings – a Warwick police officer – removing tags from several items and that she changed purses while inside the store. The police report also states Jennings was resisting and fighting with the loss prevention officer. Moultrie police were called to assist, and later arrested Jennings for felony shoplifting.
The Warwick Police Department Attorney Tommy Coleman says Jennings has been placed on administrative leave without pay until a hearing next Tuesday.
According to the police report, $388 worth of jewelry/precious metals and $220 worth of other items were among the stolen merchandise.
