ALBANY, GA --
The Albany Marine Corps Logistics Base celebrated its 60ths Birthday Thursday morning.

The history of MCLB Albany was recited by the announcer at the Schmid Parade Field.

During the ceremony, there was a presentation from Dougherty County Commission Chair Jeff Sinyard, as well as the reading of the County and City Proclamation.

Col. Terry V. Williams, commanding officer, of Albany's MCLB said ”it’s a great day to be a Marine. We’re proud of the fact that we have such an illustrious history of 60 years of support, not only to the Marine Corps and the country, but to the community.”
