ALBANY, GA --
Albany police are on the hunt for an armed robber.

Armed robbery at Flash Foods

Around 3:30 Tuesday morning, a man in his 40’s walked into the Flash Foods convenient store at 2447 N. Slappey Blvd. asking for change.

When the employee opened the register, the man pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money.

The clerk complied and the suspect ran across the street with the cash.

He's approximately 6’0 to 6’2, heavy build with a medium brown complexion and has a mustache/goatee.  He was wearing a red and tan cap, dark shirt and pants with a black bubble style jacket.

The suspect was last seen in the area behind McDonald's and P&P Garden & Hardware Store.  Albany Police set up a perimeter around this area but the suspect was not caught.

If anyone sees the suspect, call the Albany Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
