ALBANY, GA --
A tip has led Albany drug officials to a "mom and pop" meth lab on Sylvester Road.

The Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit  arrived to a trailer home located at 2902 Sylvester Road around 2:30 Monday afternoon.

They discovered remnants of methamphetamine, chemical waste, and containers from drug production.

Investigators have arrested Ernest McCrary, 35, and Juanita Montieth, 26, and charged the two with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and manufacturing methamphetamine.

Officials believe the male and female had finished cooking the drugs a day earlier and were attempting to discard the remnants.

After questioning, the two suspects will be transported to the Dougherty County Jail.
