ALBANY, GA. -- Homeschooled children have the opportunity to step into the world of science.

The Flint RiverQuarium and Thronateeska Heritage Center joined together in an effort to teach kids about seasons and earth cycles.

During the spring course kids will learn about weather patterns, environmental changes and more.

Students will not only learn about these things, but they'll also get to participate in hands on activities.

“Most of it is going to be science related but there's so many different aspects and so many things we can use related to all that. We have plenty of areas to choose from,” said Flint RiverQuarium Education Manager Melissa Martin.

There are five classes left for this season and officials say it's not to late to sign up.

Anyone interested in having their child participate can contact Melissa Martin at 229-639-2650
