ALBANY, GEORGIA -- Former Hewlett Packard and Amazon.com corporate IT headhunter made a stop at the Dougherty county rotary Tuesday afternoon.

 J. Renee Gordon spent twenty years building dynamic teams for some of the world’s largest companies.

Now she works nationally with struggling K-12 schools, where she has gained a non-educators' inside view that few are afforded.

She spoke about the realities behind the headlines with education reform and picking the best people for education systems.

"It’s real simple what we must do locally, we have to pay attention. Look at the environment; look at their actually experiences; what have they done great and then we look at their character.”
