Georgia DOT works to remove litter and debris from S.R. 133 Tuesday afternoon.

The Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT) is trying to get the message of safe driving out to protect their road crews.
GEORGIA --
Georgia DOT personnel work on highways and intersections throughout the state by the hundreds every day.
Tuesday afternoon crews where on State Route 133 picking up debris and other items to make the roads safe for motorist and workers.
Since 1972, the department of transportation for Georgia has lost fifty-six employees, so safety is a huge concern to them.
Drivers should be reminded that they can be fined up to five hundred dollars if they don't obey the Georgia Move-Over Law. When you see a vehicle parked on the side of the road, move over one lane and reduce your speed so there is extra space to actually work.
