The Albany Museum of Art received statewide recognition for having the “Museum Exhibition of the Year” by the Georgia Association of Museums and Galleries.

The Albany Museum of Art received the award for the exhibit "The Indian Gallery of Henry Inman".

Discussing what the award means, AMA Director Nick Nelson says "we are so proud to be able to bring wonderful cultural opportunities to Albany and Southwest Georgia and doubly proud that it is being recognized on a larger scale."

The exhibit featured portraits of Native American leaders and a portfolio history of the Indian tribes of North America.
