Greenbriar withdraws appeal over Heritage House demolition

ALBANY, GA --
After years of legal wrangling, the Heritage House is coming down.

In documents filed this morning, lawyers for Greenbriar LLC is dropped their appeal over Superior Court Judge Stephen Goss's demolition order of the Heritage House. This allows the City of Albany to move forward with demolition of the Heritage House.

The dismissal of the appeal was filed with the city clerk Wednesday morning. The city will then proceed with bidding out the demolition project.

The city has been anticipating this outcome and has already put the wheels in motion to expedite the process.
