ALBANY, GA --

A car accident lands three in the hospital and one car up a tree.

It happened a little after 4:00 p.m. Saturday.

According to police, 35-year-old James Williams was driving his Ford Expedition south on Cleveland Street when police say he ran a stop sign and struck 31-year-old Rina Patel who was driving a Honda Odyssey van.

Patel was traveling east on West Highland Avenue at the time.

After striking the van, Williams’ expedition overturned and hit a tree.

Williams’ passenger, 32-year-old James Wildes and Patel both had to be extracted from their vehicles.

Williams ran from the scene, but was caught a block away.

All three were taken to phoebe, no word on their injuries.
