ALBANY, GA -- Little green turtles invaded downtown Albany Saturday!

It was the first of many turtle races at the Flint RiverQuarium.

Several families came out to watch the excitement unfold.

Turtles were just five dollars and the money goes to a great cause.

“Buy turtles anytime and support us here. It all goes to the good cause of supporting our educational programs here at the RiverQuarium,” says RiverQuarium CEO Sanders Lewallen.

The next race will be February 4, and then of course the big race will be held during the Snickers Marathon on March 3.
