ALBANY, GA -- In our Facebook story of the day, you wanted to know what others thought about congress in 2011.

They spent most of the year bitterly divided.

Congress decided to raise the nation's debt ceiling and within days of raising the debt by $2 trillion, Standard and Poor's downgraded the US' credit rating from AAA to AA+.

A super committee also failed to agree on how to cut $1.2 trillion from the US budget deficit.

Penny Harrell says they need to focus on the real task at hand.

“In my personal opinion most of the m are getting to where money is more important than the normal people. Everybody needs to stop and think ‘what did God intend our country to be?’ and get back to what God intended it to be and not what man wants it to be,” says Harrell.

Congress was also full of scandal this year with Congressman Anthony Weiner resigning after tweeting lewd photos of himself to women, and Representative Chris Lee resigned after he sent a shirtless picture of himself to a woman he met on craigslist.
