ALBANY, GA -- It seems 2011 was a big year for recycling!

Judy Bowles is the director of Keep Albany-Dougherty Beautiful.

She says they average 150 visitors to their Meredyth Drive drop-off location alone.

Bowles says more than the fliers they send out once a year in Water Gas and Light bills, the word gets out through the younger generation.

“We promote it in our school system so our young people go home and tell mom and daddy that they need to be recycling.”

They also have drop off sites behind the civic center and in East Albany on Thornton Drive.

The Meredyth Drive site is open six days a week.

For more information on drop off sites, call KADB at 229-430-5257.
