ALBANY, GA -- The Napa Auto Parts store was broken into early Monday morning.

An Albany police officer was patrolling the 2400 block of Sylvester Road when he noticed a black male leaving the Napa Auto Parts store through one of the glass frames in the front of the store.

The officer chased the suspect, who dropped a few items, but got away.

Police say he removed the molding from around the glass to get inside.

Now employees have more work to do.

“Taking inventory of the area that we suspect they took things from and see what might be missing and what's not missing. Of course we had to get the window fixed and go to the police department, you know, they came out and did a good job,” says employee Jason Lodge.

If you have any information on this case, call the Albany Police Department or Crimestoppers at 229-436-8477.
