LEE COUNTY, GA -- The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has executed search warrants on a Crow Drive home in Lee County. The warrants are in reference to still-born twins thrown in the trash on December 2nd.
A 20-year-old mother has admitted to officials that she threw still-born twins out. She initially admitted what happened to the babies to hospital staff which led to the current investigation. The investigation has faced difficulties because the mother was not sure how far along she and not under a doctor's care.
The bodies have not been recovered at this time according to the GBI.
The GBI says this is the second time they have searched the house, but the first time using warrants. They are not looking for specific evidence at this time. The mother has been co-operative with authorities and no charges or arrests have been made at this time.
