Facebook Story of the Day: Local Christmas events

ALBANY, GA -- In our Facebook Story of the Day you wanted to know what Christmas events are happening locally this weekend.

On Satuday, Lee County is having their annual “Spirit of Christmas Parade and Festival” featuring Country Singer and Lee County Native Luke Bryan as the Grand Marshall. The parade and festivities begin at 10 a.m.

Also in Lee County, Santa Claus is visiting the high school for breakfast. Pancakes and sausages will be served beginning at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow. Photo opportunities are available with Santa.

Albany is lighting its Christmas tree at 5 p.m. and starting their “Celebration of Lights” Christmas Parade at 6 p.m. in Downtown Albany on Saturday.

On Sunday the Albany State University Concert Chorale and Chamber Singers will perform their annual Christmas Concert at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church at 7:30 p.m.
