ALBANY, GA -- In our Facebook story of the day, you wanted an update on the Heritage House Hotel demolition.

Greenbriar Holdings and Investments, LLC had filed an appeal against demolition, but their time is now up.

City Attorney Nathan Davis says Greenbriar still has yet to pay the court clerk for making a copy of court documents for the office of the court of appeals.

Greenbriar still owes a little under $400.

“We would interpret it as a delay tactic if they filed a notice of appeal which starts things going and which stops us from demolishing and yet they don't fulfill their other steps,” says Davis.

Davis will argue for the appeal to be dismissed, and if successful, the city can then bid out the demolition project.
