ALBANY, GA -- If you're looking for something fun and safe for your younger trick-or-treaters, the Albany Police Department has got you covered.

Monday night from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., children in grades K through five can stop by the police department at 201West Oglethorpe Boulevard.

Officers will have plenty of treats for little ones.

They want to remind parents not to leave their children unattended and to look out for suspicious candy they may receive Monday night.

“Mainly you're looking for candy that's not properly wrapped, that's questionable candy that you don't want your child to eat. Anything that may look chipped or anything like that and parents tend to have that intuition, if it doesn't look right, parents don't give it to your kids,” says APD spokeswoman Phyllis Banks.

Officers also want to remind parents that the city is celebrating Halloween on Monday night.
