ALBANY, GA -- If you happen to be a bit musical and want to try your hand at acting, there's an opportunity coming up this next weekend.

Local author, Ron McGhee has written a musical with the help of composer Kevin Blaze.

The musical is called "Monkey Business" and is a prequel to McGhee's first book titled "Loyd and Boyd and the Slug Monster of Webster County".

McGhee says anyone is welcome to try out.

“You know, actors and actresses young and old who've got some singing ability, who can sing some show tunes as well as some country tunes that are in the musical. Someone who has some stage presence and not afraid to get out in front of others and just let it go!” says McGhee.

Auditions are next Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Lee County High School.

The first performance will be December 15th.
