ALBANY, GA -- Update: Monday, Oct. 10 at 12:10 p.m.

The Albany Police Department reports that Damious King turned himself in Monday morning. They say no warrants have been issued against King at this time.

Investigators are still looking for Wesley Anderson in connection with this case.

Police are also now looking for Damious King in connection to Tuesday’s armed robbery.


Updated Friday, Oct. 7 at 1:38 p.m.

According to Albany police, Damien King, 30, turned himself in at the Law Enforcement Center at approximately noon on Friday. King was a person of interst in the Long John Silver aggravated assault and armed robbery from Tuesday afternoon.

After being interviewed by detectives, King has been ruled out as a person of interest.

Investigators continue to seek the public’s assistance with information regarding Wesley Anderson, 42.  If you have information on him, call the Albany Police Department at (229) 431-2100 or Albany Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS (8477).

Investigators need your help finding two persons of interest related to this case.

Around 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, two black men attempted to rob Girogi Kartvillish, 32, in the back parking lot of Long John Silver's on Oglethorpe Road in east Albany. A second victim, Irakli Bokuchava, suffered a foot injury trying to help his friend during the struggle.

After a physical altercation, one of the suspects shot Kartvillish in the arm. The two men then sped off heading east in a black Chevrolet S-10.

Kartsvillish walked to a nearby Wendy’s restaurant for help and was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment. Kartvilish is expected to make a full recovery.

Authorities then began a search for the suspects, but recovered the get-a-way car was in the 100 block of Eugene Street, however police are still searching for the two suspects.

The Albany Police Department are looking for Wesley L. Anderson, 42, and Damien King, 30, as persons of interest in this case. If you have information about these individuals, you are asked to contact the Albany Police Department 229-431-2100 or Crime Stoppers at 229-436-8477.
