The retired educator and coach officially withdrew his name on Wednesday from November's election

ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Mayoral race is now down to three after one candidate withdrew.

According to the Board of Elections, retired educator and coach Jesse Massey officially withdrew his candidacy for Albany Mayor on Wednesday.

The mayoral candidate pool is at three now: former commissioner Dorothy Hubbard, business owner BJ Fletcher and former state representative John White.

Massey recently qualified for the election, paying a non-refundable $750 fee.

FOX 31 has not been able to reach Massey for comment on why he dropped out.
