ALBANY, GA -- The United Way will kick off its 2011 campaign tomorrow at Albany Technical College.

The kick off will begin on Sept. 9, 2011, at Albany Technical College’s Kirkland Conference Center. The breakfast will start at 7:00am with the event beginning at 7:30am.

United Way has set goal this year at $1.3M which is a $100,000 more than last year.  Scott Tomlinson of Flint Community Bank serves as the 2011 United Way Campaign Chairman. “I feel we have assembled a great team of campaign cabinet volunteers this year, and we expect nothing less than to have a great campaign this year,” said Mr. Tomlinson.
 
Over 100 people have preregistered to attend this kickoff.  “United Way is committed to mobilizing resources to help meet the Education, Health, Income and Basic Needs in our community,” said Jim Deal, 2011 Board Chairman.
