ALBANY, GA. -- District-Governor Margie Kersey addressed the Dougherty County Rotary Club on Tuesday afternoon. She delivered a message from the international rotary president and went over the club's plan for the year.
Kersey’s main focus during the meeting was the Adopt a Cottage program at Roosevelt Warm Springs. She says the program aims to eradicate Polio.
Several cottages were destroyed by fire and now will be rebuilt and used as medical facilities.
Kersey says they're not only asking for monetary donations...but they need man power also.
"We're encouraging the rotary club to donate money and not only that, donate their time. Go down and actually put sweat equity in getting the cottages restored," said District-Governor Margie Kersey.
She says the project is not just rotary club members. To donate or lend a helping hand contact the Dougherty County Rotary Club.
