ALBANY, GA. -- District-Governor Margie Kersey is in town tonight taking a look at the advances the Dougherty County Rotary Club has made.

She stopped by the Thronateeska Heritage Center on Monday night introduce herself to district officials. On Tuesday, Kersey will meet with the Rotary Club and look at their plan of work for the year.

She plans to make an assessment of where the club stands. Local officials say it's an honor to have her here.

“She’s the district governor. She's probably got 70 or 80 clubs that she looks after. We're just one of the clubs that she will come to and visit and hopefully we're going to stand out in what we do,” said Dougherty County Rotary Club President Crisp Gatewood.

District-Governor Margie Kersey will address the Rotary Club at noon.
