ALBANY, GA -- Albany city commissioner Tommie Postell says he's going to be running for his seat again.
Postell made the announcement Thursday in front of the Government Center with some of his constituents from Ward Six.
He says he still sees issues in the city that he hopes he can tackle in his third term.
“Gangs, crime, economic development, the way people have rotated and revolved away from the city because of a lack of jobs and a lack of opportunity, some of those things need to be acknowledged and they need to be brought to the table so we can see if we can fix it,” said Postell.
So far no one else has publicly announced that they will run against Postell for the commission seat.
The general election is November Eighth.
