There will be no investigation into the action of the Baker County Board of Education.
BAKER COUNTY, GA --
The direction of by a Baker County grand jury in July to the South Georgia Judicial Circuit for an investigation into "questionable expenditures" by the Baker County Board of Education was struck down late Monday.
The Superior Court of Baker County states that the basis for that direction was overboard and beyond a grand jury's authority under Georgia law.
Lead counsel for the Baker Board of Education says they "feel vindicated".
The Superior Court of Baker County also requested that any false suggestion of wrong doing is to be wiped from the record in the Baker County Court System.
