ALBANY, GA. -- While other schools are failing to make the grade, Westover High School is celebrating its AYP accomplishment.
School Board Superintendent Dr. Murfree and representatives attended a ceremony at the school to congratulate staff for their hard work with the students.
The Annual Yearly Progress report is a measuring tool used nationwide to determine where schools stand academically.
William Chunn the principal of the school says this is a great accomplishment.
“Westover is making the grade here. Our faculty our students are committed to academic excellence and I’m very proud of all them,” said Westover High School Principal William Chunn.
This is the third year in a row that the school has made AYP.
