ORIGINAL STORY Tuesday July 12, 2011

The Albany Police Department utilized search warrants to enter Litman J. L.  Memorial Funeral Service at 1202 Clarke Avenue Monday evening.  Officials confirm they also raided Litman’s home as well.

Officials say the warrants were for records and documentation regarding transactions made at the funeral home and the Albany Police Department.

APD says the Georgia Bureau of Investigations and the Secretary of State’s office may be called into to assist in the investigation.

At this time no charges have been filed against Mr. Litman.

Limited details are available because the case is still under investigation by APD and the Dougherty County District Attorney’s Office.
