ALBANY, GA -- Good news for property owners in the City of Albany—taxes will not be going up.

Monday we told you Dougherty County’s millage rate would remain the same, now the city is following suit.

Kris Newton, the city's Finance Director said Tuesday that the city's millage rate will stay the same as last year--at 8.660 mills.

The millage rate has actually been declining exponentially each year since 2004.
