ALBANY, GA -- With the Flint River behind them more than a dozen people got in their morning exercise.

They call it Tai Chi in the Park.

About 20 people hit the Riverfront Park Saturday morning. Some people walking along the river even stopped and joined them.

It was their first time out, but they hope for more people to come out and experience the beauty of downtown.

“It’s just a series of very easy dance like steps. Tai chi is a martial art. But it's very much for people with arthritis. Young people, old people. Anybody can do this sort of non strenuous exercise,” said Juby Phillips who helped organize the exercise.

They say they plan to be back again next Saturday at 8:30 behind the Albany Welcome Center .
