The Citizen's Advisory Committee presented a possible solution to Albany's feral cat problem
ALBANY, GA -- They city may be one step closer to trying to solve Albany’s feral cat problem.
They heard from the Citizen's Advisory Committee that was formed to tackle the issue.
Assistant City Manager Wes Smith and others presented the commission with a possible solution: to work with animal control in creating a program to capture, spay and neuter cats, and then release them.
Also in the proposed ordinance, every cat owner will have to identify that cat as a pet--whether that be with an ID tag or an implanted chip.
The commission will vote on it at their night meeting, June 28.
