Two circulation employees renew their wedding vows at a ceremony inside the Albany Herald
ALBANY, GA -- The Albany Herald turned their newsroom into a wedding chapel for an evening.
Herald circulation department employees Sarah and Lewis Hunter renewed their vows Friday evening in the Albany Herald reception area, under a trellis in front of the Herald’s antique linotype. The couple has been married for seven and a half years.
“I have no real family here except for my immediate family so I didn't have anyone that was going to come and we decided to do this because the Albany Herald has become our immediate family,” says Sarah.
Lewis and Sarah say they were both just as nervous before and after the ceremony as they were when they originally got married.
During her vows Friday evening, which Sarah wrote herself, she told Lewis, “You’ve been a rock in this marriage.’ She says she considers herself lucky and that everyone needs a husband like hers.
"If any marriage is in trouble, work it out because it's well worth it,” she says.
