20 years in jail on child molestation charges
A former Albany Police officer was sentenced to 20 years in jail on child molestation charges.
Vincent Wadley will serve 10 of those years in jail with the other 10 being spent on probation. The sentence came down Thursday afternoon and stems from a sexual incident involving Wadley and a female under 16-years-old in May of 2008. The victim’s family notified police and an internal investigation led to Wadley’s arrest.
