Lee County High School preps students for job interviews

ALBANY, GA. -- Students at Lee County High School put on their best clothes, polished their resume and prepared for interviews Friday morning.

More than 150 juniors and seniors participated in the school’s mock interview fair.  School officials say they hosted the event because they want students to have interview experience in a comfortable and friendly environment.

The goal of the program is for students to practice and receive constructive criticism on how to improve their interview skills, before a real interview for college or a summer job.  “We just feel that we need to help students out with not only class work, but outside of the class stuff too because that makes a whole student.  Having those interview skills is going to help them reach their goals and when we can make everything relevant while they're in school we think they'll do better” says Sandra Parker.

Volunteers who conducted the interviews were volunteers from local businesses and colleges.
