Governor Nathan Deal tells students to do things out of the ordinary and take risks in his commencement speech at a Tifton college
TIFTON, GA -- After signing two house bills this evening, Governor Nathan Deal gave the commencement speech at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College’s graduation.
The governor says he hopes his speech is one the graduates remember through the years. Deal spoke about living an unbalanced life and challenged graduates to do things out of the ordinary and take risks.
Despite the risky job economy, Deal says it’s has high hopes for their future.
“Unfortunately they do face a difficult job market, we all know that. I do think though that if you have the skills and the back ground and training, there are job opportunities there. Part of my job and part of the job of the gen assembly is to try to create an environment in this state so we will have more private sector jobs and I work at that every day,” says Deal.
ABAC’s graduation Friday evening became standing room only, which some attribute to Deal’s appearance.
