In the wake of the killing of Osama bin Laden, MCLB civilian-marine says he is deploying with a positive attitude.
ALBANY, GA -- Two civilian-marines from Maintenance Center at the Marine Corps Logistics Base deployed on Thursday – one is on his way to Afghanistan
One civilian marine going to Kuwait already made the journey to Atlanta, but at the Southwest Georgia Regional Airport, MCLB Head of Automechanics Corey Scott was sent off with support by his three children and wife.
Scott will be working with the Joint Program Office’s effort for Mine-Resistant, Ambush Protected vehicles.
In the wake of the killing of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, Scott says he is deploying with a positive attitude.
“How I feel is that I have no worries about it. I'm going to go over there and be safe, come back home to my family,” says Scott.
Scott says he will miss his family the most while he is in Afghanistan for a six month tour of duty. His wife graduated from Darton College on Thursday.
