ALBANY, GA -- A local church is doing their part trying to help victims of last week's tornadoes in our neighboring states, but they're asking for more help.

Porterfield Methodist Church is collecting plastic bins to send to storm victims in Hackleburg, Alabama. Twenty-nine people died there last week. But for the people that did survive it's going to take a while to clean up.

“The need medium containers, so they can put things in, because there is no place to store anything. So when people are going to salvage what's left of their belongings, they’re going to need to put them in something,” said Steven Jones, who is organizing the collection.

If you are interested in donating, you can drop off bins at the church on 2200 Dawson Road or call Steven Jones at (229) 669-4715 for more information.
