Residents living near Holloway Avenue and Newton Road were without power for close to an hour on Friday

ALBANY, GA -- Residents living near Holloway Avenue and Newton Road were without power for close to an hour on Friday.

A tree landed on power lines near Holloway, knocking out power around 5:30 p.m. Friday evening. Neighbors say they were without air conditioning in the 90-degree weather. Street lights were also out at a four-way intersection at Holloway and Newton.

Water, Gas and Light officials say the power was restored just before 6:30 p.m.
