Sweep is culmination of 8 month probe
ALBANY, GA. -- Widespread drug raids are still underway throughout Pelham, Georgia and surrounding areas.
21 people have been arrested so far and more are expected.
Charges range from marijuana and cocaine possession to possession with intent to distribute.
Several national, state, and local law enforcement agencies participated in the operation, including the Pelham Police Department, the G-B-I, U.S. Marshals, and the National Guard.
Police say the sweeps are the culmination of an investigation that lasted eight months and thousands of man hours.
