Police are looking for Cedric Waters after he allegedly stabbed his wife late Saturday night
ALBANY, GA -- April 4th Update:
Albany police are asking for help finding a man who they say may have stabbed his wife up to 15 times late Saturday night.
Investigators say 37-year-old Cedric Waters and his wife, 39-year-old Janice Waters, were arguing at their apartment on South Jackson Avenue and that the argument may have turned violent.
Police say Janice Waters was rushed to Phoebe Hospital but her husband fled the scene before they arrived.
Janice Waters remains hospitalized in ‘good condition.’

Police have confirmed a stabbing has taken place at 320 South Jackson Street.
Officials say it happened around 9:30 Saturday night. They say a husband and wife were involved in an argument inside their apartment that escalated, spilling over outside the apartment. At some point, the husband, Cederic Waters, went back into the apartment, retrieved a knife, and came back and stabbed his wife, Janice Waters.
Police arrived on the scene and found Waters sustaining multiple stab wounds.
Police are still looking for Cederic Waters who is 6’2-6’3 and was last seen wearing a purple shirt, blue jean shorts and purple shoes.
Detectives with the Family Protection Unit are with the victim at an area hospital.
