PELHAM, GA -- Several state law enforcement agencies will converge on Southwest Georgia on Monday to launch a special investigation into the death of a 17-year-old jail inmate.

Fabian Avery, III of Atlanta died early Friday morning while being held in isolation at the Pelham Pre-Release Center.

WAGA FOX 5 in Atlanta is reporting that Avery's family said he complained about being sick, but didn't get the treatment he needed. The teen's father said just weeks ago his son was in perfect health.
