Lanier County officials catch a man that allegedly stabbed his wife

LANIER COUNTY, GA. -- The Lanier County Sheriff’s Office says a stabbing suspect has been caught.

Investigators say 29-year-old Julio Lopez attacked his wife then fled Wednesday morning.

Lopez reportedly stabbed his wife more than 20 times.

He was picked up around 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon walking down Highway 168 in Berrien County wearing nothing but a bath mat.
