The Albany Panthers football team now features a marching band consisting of local high school students
ALBANY, GA -- You can see football, dancing and now a marching band when you attend an Albany Panthers game.
The 85-member Albany Panther Marching Band will consist of high school students from all over the Albany area. Commissioner Chris Pike will be the band director.
The band will perform for a pre-game show at all home games as well as halftime shows at games they attend.
“Last year when our season ended, I called all of our season ticket holders and sponsors and just asked them what they thought of the past season. They felt like some entertainment was missing and I did too so we were able to finalize the Albany Panthers Marching Band,” says General Manager Will Carter.
The first game of the season for the Albany Panthers football team – including the marching band – will be on March 19th against the Louisiana Swashbucklers.
