ALBANY, GA. -- Two young soldiers are dead after a fiery crash in Worth County late Sunday night.

18-year-old Lonnie Cooke of Clay County was driving a Dodge Charger north on Highway 112 when the car veered off the road and struck a tree.

The car then burst into flames.

Cooke and his unidentified passenger were killed.

Both men arrived in Albany on Friday on a bus from a Kentucky Army Base.

Initial indications are that Cooke fell asleep behind the wheel.
